Welcome to my website! I’m so excited! This is my first post from my new website-Kosher By Gloria. I haven’t had a minute this week to announce menus, planning etc. Between my interview with @NaomiSteinNachman (See the interview here.), working on this site and family responsibilities- I’ve been swamped. Please bear with me as I learn to master my own site. There are so many learning curves.
I’ll be offering Shabbat and holiday menus and recipes. Some will have traditional recipes and some will not; but everything will be kosher. My goal is to offer vegetarian and nut-free substitutions as often as I can.
I’ve been making Shabbat and Yom Tov dinners and lunches for over 50 years. I know how to organize and efficiently get it all done. I believe in advance prep and freezing when possible. My goal is make entertaining family and friends less stressful and more fun.
For example, tonight’s menu is: Curried Butternut Squash Soup, Fried Chicken, Corn Pudding, Green Beans, Roasted Onions and Beets, London Broil, Flourless Chocolate Cake and Berries. I made veggie beef with peppers and scallions for my daughter who is vegetarian. Tomorrow’s lunch: Salad, Baked Chicken Cutlets, more veggies and Chocolate Chip Cookies. There is something for everyone. If it seems like there’s too much food, I should add that my basic group is 10-12 for each meal. Once you have a system, it goes smoothly; but leave something out if it seems like too much. Enjoy
